Cup Curious?
Have you heard about Sea + Flo menstrual cups and intrigued to find out more about the how, why and what? We got you!
Menstrual cups are a great way to upgrade your period. Save on waste, save on money, and save your precious vagina. Without the nasty chemicals that tampons and pads are laden with, the menstrual cup is a safe and affordable option. Saving you over 4000 tampons per one menstrual cup.
We've noticed that there is still a bit of shame and ick surrounding the menstrual cycle, which we would like to help break down by giving you the knowledge, power and confidence to own your flo.
Lots of people have questions and fear around doing something different “down there” - we get it, especially at a time of the month when you really just want to be comfortable. Sometimes change can feel like an inconvenience too, right! Learning to use a menstrual cup is a journey, it might take a few days or even a cycle or two to get used to your cup. It's completely ok and normal to feel a little nervous or even scared. We have no intention of leaving you in your bathroom to struggle alone! However, we can almost guarantee that once you nail it, you will be raving about cups in the same way we do!
We want to go above and beyond just a product sale and help you get the best out of your cup, and your period.
Start by reading our info below, and we will continue to add and update our site and socials with more educational content.
The cup club is here for you.

Let's talk about your vagina
The vagina is a muscular tube connecting the vulva (all the external parts) to the cervix (the entrance/gateway to the uterus).
The menstrual cup sits in the vaginal canal just below your cervix. Inserting it is much like inserting a non-applicator tampon. It can stay in there for up to 12 hours or until it is full and needs to be emptied.
Many people find that tampons can irritate the vagina and cervix which you won't find with a menstrual cup. The cup opens up to form a leak free seal against the wall of the vagina and captures menstrual blood as it is released from the cervix.
You shouldn't be able to feel it when inside you.
The cervix acts as a gatekeeper to the uterus, it protects it by preventing objects such as a menstrual cup from entering. Which means your cup is not going anywhere and can't 'get lost'.
Sea + Flo menstrual cups can hold up to 3 x more than a Tampon
AND you can leave the cup in for up to 12 hours if your flow allows.
Each of our Sea + Flo cups hold between 20-30mls. A regular tampon only absorbs 6-9ml, and a pad approximately 5ml. So even if you have a heavy flow you will need to change your cup a lot less than you would do with tampons/pads. Once you get the hang of using a menstrual cup you will find that they are the most convenient period care product out there!
Once you go cup, you won't go back!
